Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia) is the most common form of anxiety disorder. It is the acknowledged cause of
much suffering and impairment for millions of people worldwide.
In fact, American research identifies Social Anxiety Disorder
as being the third most common psychiatric problem following depression and alcoholism.
Ironically, social anxiety is still very much under recognised
and as such, under diagnosed, and under treated.
Given that social anxiety is under recognised by the general public, most of us aren't even aware that the thing which
can spoil our daily lives actually has a name.
